"It's All Coming Back To Me Now" - Alexandra Rotan and Adam Douglas

"It's All Coming Back To Me Now" - Alexandra Rotan and Adam Douglas
Release date: 16 October 2021 // Original release date: 29 July 1996
Genre: Pop / soft rock / power ballad
Songwriter(s): Jim Steinman
Producer(s): Jim Steinman, Steven Rinkoff, Roy Bittan
Original artist (s): Celine Dion

Lyrics:

There were nights when the wind was so cold
That my body froze in bed
If I just listened to it right outside the window
There were days when the sun was so cruel
That all the tears turned to dust
And I just knew my eyes were drying up forever
I finished crying in the instant that you left
And I can't remember where or when or how
And I banished every memory you and I had ever made

But when you touch me like this
And you hold me like that
I just have to admit
That it's all coming back to me
When I touch you like this
And I hold you like that
It's so hard to believe but
It's all coming back to me
It's all coming back
It's all coming back to me now
There were moments of gold
And there were flashes of light
There were things I'd never do again
But then they'd always seemed right
There were nights of endless pleasure
It was more than any laws allow

Baby, baby
If I kiss you like this
And if you whisper like that
It was lost long ago
But it's all coming back to me
If you want me like this
And if you need me like that
It was dead long ago
But it's all coming back to me
It's so hard to resist
And it's all coming back to me
I can barely recall
But it's all coming back to me now

MY OPINION

Alexandra Rotan is a great artist with a powerful voice and with huge charisma and body language that really shows me how much she loves everything that has to do with music. She became known for the Norwegian people for the very first time in 2010 when she participated in the Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2010 with the song "Det vi vil". 6 years later, she participated in Idol 2016, where she reached the semifinals. Two years later, she participated in MGP 2018 together with MGP 2011 winner, Stella Mwangi with the song "You Got Me".

There she met Tom Hugo, with whom she now works in KEiiNO. (and Fred Buljo she met the same year). KEiiNO participated in MGP 2019 with the song "Spirit In The Sky" and won. Then they went to Tel Aviv, Israel in May 2019 and performed the song at Eurovision Songa Contest 2019. There they won the televote and came in 6th place overall." KEiiNO competed with "Monument" and became the runner-up of MGP 2021 after being beaten by TIX (Andreas Haukeland) with his song "Fallen Angel".

Adam Douglas is a also a great artist with an amazing voice, and also shows me how much he loves music. He became known for me after I heard of Stjernekamp in 2019, and found out that he won Stjernekamp 2017, while Didrik Solli-Tangen (MGP 2010 Winner) came in second place.

But over to "It's All Coming Back To Me Now". They performed this song live on the quarter-finals of Stjernekamp on 16 October. Where Alexandra made it through to the semifinal on 23 October. Personally, this is my second favourite song of the Stjernekamp 2021 season.

Rating: 10/10 easy, I can't find any negative words about either the performance, the song or the artists...

As a big KEiiNO fan, I really are looking forward to see them live at their concert on 12 December... Thank you Alexandra and Adam for this experience. Their voices is perfect together!

Thanks for me

"Kings & Queens" - Ava Max

"Kings & Queens" - Ava Max'
Release date: 12 March 2020
Genre: Power pop
Songwriter(s): Ava Max, Brett McLaughlin, Desmond Child, Hillary Bernstein, Jakke Erixon, Madison Love, Mimoza Blinsson.
Producer(s): Cirkut (Henry Russell Walter) and RedOne (Nadir Khayat)

Lyrics:

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own

Can't live without me, you wanna, but you can't, no, no, no
Think it's funny, but honey, can't run this show on your own
I can feel my body shake, there's only so much I can take
I'll show you how a real queen behaves, oh

No damsel in distress, don't need to save me
Once I start breathin' fire, you can't tame me
And you might think I'm weak without a sword
But if I had one, it'd be bigger than yours

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own

Disobey me, then baby, it's off with your head
Gonna change it and make it a world you won't forget, oh-oh, oh
No damsel in distress, don't need to save me
Once I start breathin' fire, you can't tame me
And you might think I'm weak without a sword
But I'm stronger than I ever was before

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own

In chess, the king can move one space at a time
But queens are free to go wherever they like
You get too close, you'll get a royalty high
So breathe it in to feel the love

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own

MY OPINION

Ava Max is a great singer with a powerful and beautiful voice. I would say that Kings & Queens is one of Ava Max's best hits of all time. The melody, the lyrics, her voice, I just love all of it. Ava Max is also known after her 2018 single "Sweet But Psycho". But let's rate "Kings & Queens" on a scale from 1 to 10, I would easily have given it 10 of 10

interview with Dan Molloy

Biography  +  fun fact  (and please a photo too, if you don’t mind)

My name is Dan, I'm 25 from Ireland and mu fun fact is that I'm 6' 7.5" tall

Let's start the interview.

Have you grown up in a music family or weren't your parents interested in music?

My father was always singing. My mother not so much but she used to play music on long car journeys and most of my musical influence comes from her

Why do you love music as much as you do?

I think it's just such a powerful thing. If I'm in a bad place mentally it's like therapy to me. It keeps me happy and entertained.

For how long have you been listening to music, and what genre(s) do you like?

All my life! I mainly like pop but I'm quite eclectic. I'll give anything a go really

For how long have you followed Eurovision and/or Melodi Grand Prix?

I watched Eurovision on and off over the years but I really began to follow it seriously in 2016. MGP I watched for the first time in 2021 🙂

Which are your favourite songs from Eurovision and Melodi Grand Prix? You can name 1 to 5 songs. Can you explain why you chose this song/these songs as your favourite songs from ESC and MGP?

Ooh it's so hard to choose. I have so many favourites so I'm going to choose a couple that come to mind at first.

O G3NE - Lights & Shadows, such a beautiful song with such a sad sad story

Fyr Og Flamme - So fun, VERY 80s

The Mamas - Move it's soulful, powerful and such a great sing along track

KEiiNO - Spirit In The Sky. Such an interesting song and introduced me to joiking and Samí culture

Laura & Koit Toome - Verona. Such a shame people don't realise the brilliance of this song. I absolutely love it

Do you have any thoughts about Eurovision Song Contest 2022 Season?

I think a lot of artists may hop on the rock trend. Should be able to have a bigger and better contest as Covid gets a bit better.

If you have any more Eurovision or music related things to tell me, feel free to tell as much as you want.

Eurovision is such a wonderful thing. It's a shame some people use it for politics. It's a wonderful night where we come together from all walks of life to share in our joy of music

Okay thank you so much for using some of your time to do this interview

Believe it, we ain't got no plans to leave here
Tell all of your friends to be here
We ain't gonna sleep all weekend
Oh, you know, you know, you know

That's the motto (Mhm)
Drop a few bills then pop a few champagne bottles (Mhm)
Throwin' that money like you just won the lotto (Mhm)
We been up all damn summer
Makin' that bread and butter
Tell me, did I just stutter?
That's the motto (Mhm)
Drop a few bills then pop a few champagne bottles (Mhm)
Throwin' that money like you just won the lotto (Mhm)
We been up all damn summer
Makin' that bread and butter
Tell me, did I just stutter?
That's the motto (I feel it)
That's the motto (I feel it)

Hopped in the range, can't feel my face
The window's down
Back to my place
My birthday cake is comin' out (Oh)
The way it's hittin' like, I could go all night
Don't want no bloodshot eyes
So hold my drink, let's fly

Believe it, we ain't got no plans to leave here
Tell all of your friends to be here
We ain't gonna sleep all weekend
Oh, you know, you know, you know

That's the motto (Mhm)
Drop a few bills then pop a few champagne bottles (Mhm)
Throwin' that money like you just won the lotto (Mhm)
We been up all damn summer (Oh)
Makin' that bread and butter (Yeah)
Tell me, did I just stutter?
That's the motto (Mhm)
Drop a few bills then pop a few champagne bottles (Mhm)
Throwin' that money like you just won the lotto (Mhm)
We been up all damn summer (Oh)
Makin' that bread and butter
Tell me, did I just stutter?
That's the motto
That's the motto (Oh)

(I feel it)
(I feel it, feel it)
(I feel it)
(I feel it, feel it)
(I feel it)

MY OPINION
Ava Max is a great singer, but this song is one of her worst hits, not because I hate or dislike it. But it is a little bit boring and annoying. Tiësto is mainly known as a Dutch DJ. He is known for songs like "Love Comes Again" and "The Business" If I had to rate "The Motto" from 1 to 10, I would give it 5 of 10. I don't have very much to say about this song. Ava Max is 10 of 10 though, amazing singer with a fantastic voice.

"Never Enough" - Alexandra Rotan

Never Enough – Alexandra Rotan

Release date: 23 October 2021

Genre: Pop / ballad / Musical

Songwriter(s): Benj Pasek, Justin Paul

Producer(s): Benj Pasek, Justin Paul

Original Artist: Loren Allred

Alexandra Rotan
Alexandra performing "Never Enough" under the semifinal of Stjernekamp 2021 on 23 October 2021.

Lyrics:

"I'm trying to hold my breath

 Let it stay this way

 Can't let this moment end

You set off a dream in me

 Getting louder now

 Can you hear it echoing?

 Take my hand

Will you share this with me?

 'Cause darling, without you

All the shine of a thousand spotlights

All the stars we steal from the night sky

 Will never be enough

 Never be enough

Towers of gold are still too little

These hands could hold the world but it'll

 Never be enough

 Never be enough

For me

 Never, never

 Never, never

 Never, for me

 For me

 Never enough

 Never enough

 Never enough

 For me

 For me

 For me

All the shine of a thousand spotlights

All the stars we steal from the night sky

 Will never be enough

 Never be enough

Towers of gold are still too little

These hands could hold the world but it'll

 Never be enough

 Never be enough

For me

 Never, never

 Never, never

 Never, for me

 For me

 Never enough

 Never, never

 Never enough

 Never, never

 Never enough

 For me

 For me

 For me

 For me"

She became known for the very first time in 2010 when she participated in the Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2010 with the song "Det vi vil". 6 years later, she participated in Idol 2016, where she reached the semifinals. There they won the televote and came in 6th place overall.

But over to "Never Enough". Alexandra performed the song at the Musikal & Storband night in Stjernekamp 2021 (which was also the semifinal). She qualified for the finals. She chose this song because she has had a tough time through her journey in Stjernekamp 2021 and earlier. Where she was good at thinking she was "Never Enough". So the song is in a way a tribute to herself for standing up and daring to join Stjernekamp 2021.

Personally, I mean this song and performance is one of the best songs she participated with in Stjernekamp 2021. She has an incredibly good and strong voice, a fantastic charisma. But not only that, the song, the performance, her voice, everything is MAGICAL. She's magical.

Rating: 10/10 easy!

Much better than the original, and the original IS INCREDIBLY GOOD !. No more words about this song ...

GOOD JOB ALEXANDRA, and good luck on your next adventures as a solo and a member of KEiiNO.

"All By Myself" - Celine Dion

All By Myself - Celine Dion
Release date: 9 December 1996
Genre: Soft rock / ballad
Songwriter(s): Eric Carmen, Sergei Rachmaninoff
Producer(s): David Foster
Original artist(s): Eric Carmen

Celine Dion
All by myself

Lyrics:

"When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone
Livin' alone
I think of all the friends I've known
But when I dial the telephone
Nobody's home

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore

Hard to be sure
Sometimes I feel so insecure
And love so distant and obscure
Remains the cure

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore

All by myself
Don't wanna live
All by myself
Anymore

When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore

All by myself
Don't wanna live
Oh
Don't wanna live
By myself, by myself
Anymore
By myself
Anymore
Oh
All by myself
Don't wanna live
I never, never, never
Needed anyone"

MY OPINION

Celine Dion is a great artist with a powerful voice. "All By Myself" is one of her most known songs throughout the years. In the song, she is singing "I think of all the friends I've known" and "Don't wanna be all by myself" I think that refers to a bad decision she made when she was younger and lost her friends, and now she wants them to come back and be united again.

If I should rate the lyrics and the melody, and the full song. I would have given the lyrics and melody 9 of 10, because I mean the song should have had more lyrics and less melody, but the song is still amazing. I would have given the full song 10 of 10, her voice, the meaning, the structure, it is just amazing.
